ROADS • Marinette County is served by Federal Highway 41 and State Highway 64. Highway 41 runs north-south and Highway 64 runs east-west. Marinette County is also served by U.S. Highway 141, which runs north-south. State Highway 180, which also runs north-south. Marinette County is also served by U.S. Highway 8 which runs east-west and State Highway 64 which runs east-west. RAIL • In Marinette City and other areas, rail transport is provided by the Escanaba & Lake Superior and Canadian National Railroad, with daily service available, and piggyback service as nearby as 50 miles. AIRPORTS • From the air, Marinette County is accessible via Twin County Airport located in neighboring Menominee, MI This is near to the Cities of Marinette and Peshtigo. The Twin County Airport has a 5,997 foot, hard-surface runway, lighted, Unicom radio, instrument landing system, VOR, 80AV gas - 100LL - Jet A with additive, and a comfortable terminal. Hangar space available to transient traffic and car rental service. Marinette County is also served by an airport located in the Town of Stephenson. • Near Goodman, is the Dickinson County Ford Airport Length of hard surface runway is 6,800 feet. WATER PORTS & HARBORS • In the City of Marinette, there is an active shipping harbor with an actual channel depth of 28 feet and two available cranes with 50 tons of capacity each. Port service is open from April through December.
